IBPS RRB XV 2026: Updated 13,745 Vacancies, Eligibility and Dates
What the 9 September corrigendum changes for Office Assistants and Officer Scale applicants before 21 September.

IBPS has published a 9 September 2026 corrigendum and updated indicative vacancy Annexure I for Common Recruitment Process RRBs XV. The live AvsarIQ opportunity now records 13,745 places, up from the earlier 13,706 indicative total, while the official application portals continue to show registration and online fee payment from 1 September through 21 September 2026. The most visible change is the Office Assistant total, which the updated annexure lists at 8,222. The Officer Scale totals remain 4,256 for Scale I, 1,047 across Scale II roles and 220 for Scale III.
This is a vacancy-update guide, not a personal eligibility decision. The official corrigendum says the updated numbers are indicative and anticipated as communicated by participating Regional Rural Banks; provisional allotment will depend on the actual vacancies reported by those banks. The underlying 1 September notification, application conditions and examination framework remain in force unless the official IBPS pages publish another change. Use the updated annexure for the current count and the detailed notification for the requirement that applies to a particular post.

What changed on 9 September
| Route | Current indicative places | Change or reading |
|---|---|---|
| Office Assistants (Multipurpose) | 8,222 | The updated annexure raises the live post count from the earlier 8,183 record |
| Officer Scale I | 4,256 | Current updated total |
| Officer Scale II | 1,047 | General Banking Officer 666 plus specialist roles totalling 381 |
| Officer Scale III | 220 | Current updated total |
| All routes | 13,745 | Current total in the live AvsarIQ record and updated official annexure |
The change is concentrated in the Office Assistant table. The updated PDF lists state and bank rows that sum to 8,222, including 1,200 in Uttar Pradesh, 900 in Andhra Pradesh, 750 in Telangana, 600 in Odisha and 510 in Gujarat. The other route totals are also useful for choosing the correct application path, but the vacancy count should not be treated as a guaranteed appointment number for a state, bank or category.

Profile comparison
Place your details beside the official requirements
AvsarIQ shows your saved profile next to stated requirements. It does not make a final eligibility decision.
Create or open your profile| Post | Qualification pattern | Age on 1 September 2026 | Experience |
|---|---|---|---|
| Office Assistant (Multipurpose) | Bachelor's degree in any discipline plus prescribed local-language proficiency | Between 18 and 28 years | No post-qualification experience |
| Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager) | Bachelor's degree in any discipline, local language and the notification's preferred degree areas | Above 18 and below 30 years | No post-qualification experience |
| Officer Scale II | Role-specific degree or professional qualification, marks and local requirements | Above 21 and below 32 years | Role-specific bank or field experience |
| Officer Scale III (Senior Manager) | Bachelor's degree in any discipline with the notification's marks and preference conditions | Above 21 and below 40 years | At least five years as an officer in a bank or financial institution |
Office Assistant and Officer Scale I are the broadest graduate routes, but both include a local-language condition tied to the participating RRB or state. The notification also says the qualifying result must have been declared on or before 21 September 2026. That makes a final-year result date and a local-language certificate important checks rather than optional profile details.
Officer Scale II specialisations
| Role | Places | Requirement focus |
|---|---|---|
| General Banking Officer | 666 | Bachelor's degree, 50 percent aggregate and two years as an officer in a bank or financial institution |
| Information Technology Officer | 182 | Relevant electronics, communication, computer science or information technology degree and relevant experience |
| Chartered Accountant | 81 | CA qualification and the experience condition in the notification |
| Law Officer | 46 | Law degree with the marks and advocate or bank-law experience rule |
| Agriculture Officer | 38 | Listed agriculture-related degree and agriculture officer experience |
| Treasury Manager | 18 | CA or MBA Finance route with relevant treasury experience |
| Marketing Officer | 16 | MBA Marketing and the relevant marketing experience rule |
- An Office Assistant application and an Officer application can both be made where the notification conditions are met.
- Within the Officer cadre, apply for only one of Scale I, Scale II or Scale III.
- Scale II is not one single qualification route; its specialist posts use different degrees, marks and experience conditions.
- The application form is provisional and later scrutiny can reject an application that does not meet the notification requirements.
- A local-language rule applies to Office Assistant and Officer Scale I recruitment for the relevant participating RRB or state.
Dates, fee and the two application portals
| Event | Office Assistants portal | Officers portal |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and online fee payment | 1 to 21 September 2026 | 1 to 21 September 2026 |
| Editing application details | 21 September 2026 | 21 September 2026 |
| Last date to print the application | 5 October 2026 | 6 October 2026 |
| Fee for SC, ST, PwBD and specified exempt groups | ₹175 including GST | ₹175 including GST |
| Fee for all other categories | ₹850 including GST | ₹850 including GST |
The Office Assistants portal and Officers portal are separate. The official officers portal explicitly says that a candidate can apply for only one Officer post, while the notification permits an Office Assistant application alongside an Officer application. Keep the registration number, password, payment receipt and final application print record safely after submission.
How to apply after checking the updated table
- Open the IBPS Rural Banks XV page and read the 9 September corrigendum together with the updated vacancy annexure.
- Choose Office Assistant or the Officer cadre, then identify the relevant state, participating RRB and post-specific row.
- For the Officer route, choose only one of Scale I, Scale II or Scale III; compare the qualification and experience row before starting.
- Check the age reference date, qualification result date, local-language evidence and category or disability documents.
- Use the matching official portal rather than a search-result mirror and enter details exactly as the certificates show them.
- Pay the applicable fee or intimation charge online by 21 September and check that the transaction is recorded.
- Review the preview and submitted declaration, save the completed form and keep the later print deadline in your calendar.
- Return to the IBPS page before final submission in case another corrigendum or vacancy annexure is published.
Selection stages and exam planning
| Route | Preliminary exam | Later stage |
|---|---|---|
| Office Assistant | Reasoning and Numerical Ability, 80 questions and 80 marks in 45 minutes | Main examination; final merit uses Main Examination marks |
| Officer Scale I | Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, 80 questions and 80 marks in 45 minutes | Main examination followed by Common Interview |
| Officer Scale II | No preliminary stage in the route outline | Single Online Examination and Common Interview |
| Officer Scale III | No preliminary stage in the route outline | Single Online Examination and Common Interview |
The notification gives tentative online examination timing in November or December 2026 for the preliminary and later stages, with results extending into December 2026 or January 2027. Treat those months as the published tentative schedule, not as a personal call-letter date. The detailed paper pattern, language options, minimum cut-offs and later-stage rules should be read from the notification and the relevant information handout.
Documents and avoidable application risks
- Degree, marksheet or professional qualification evidence matching the selected post and the 21 September qualification cutoff.
- Local-language proof for Office Assistant or Officer Scale I where the participating RRB requires it.
- Experience certificates for Scale II or Scale III roles, with the field and duration matching the notification.
- Category, PwBD, ESM or other concession documents in the prescribed form where a claim is made.
- A clear photograph, signature, identity document and any scribe or compensatory-time documents requested by the portal.
- A single completed Officer application; submitting more than one Officer Scale application can lead to rejection.
- Payment receipt and final application printout saved after submission.
The official portal warns that online submission does not mean that the requirements have been finally accepted. Later scrutiny can examine qualifications, local language, experience, category records, scribe arrangements and other declarations. Use the updated vacancy table to choose the intended RRB and post, but use the detailed notification to decide which evidence belongs in that application.
Final checklist before 21 September
- Confirm whether the target is Office Assistant or one Officer Scale, then read that post's full qualification row.
- Check the updated state and bank vacancy row in Annexure I, remembering that the numbers are indicative.
- Verify the age reference date and that the result for the qualifying qualification was declared by 21 September.
- Confirm local-language evidence, relevant experience and category or disability documents.
- Use the correct Office Assistant or Officers portal and do not mix the two application routes.
- Pay ₹175 or ₹850 as applicable, including GST, and verify the online receipt.
- Submit and save the final application before 21 September, then retain the route-specific print deadline.
