SBI Wealth Management Recruitment 2026: 207 Posts, Eligibility and Apply
A role-by-role guide to the official Wealth Management and Premier Banking notice, circle preference, experience, documents and interview process.

This is an experienced-applicant recruitment notice, not a general fresher intake. The practical question is not simply whether 207 seats exist; it is which of the seven role profiles matches a candidate's qualification and post-qualification experience, and how the application choices work. The official advertisement separates sales and relationship roles from investment-specialist roles, gives different age bands and compensation ceilings, and asks applicants for a substantial evidence file. That makes a role-by-role comparison more useful than a headline vacancy count.
The guide below consolidates the official 16-page advertisement with SBI's Current Openings page and the live CRPD/SCO/2026-27/23 portal. It is written for planning: compare the role requirements, prepare proof of experience, decide the three-circle preference where it applies, and then use the portal's own instructions. Vacancy numbers are tentative, PwBD reservation is horizontal, and the bank can revise details through its official website. Treat the dates and links as a live checklist, not as a substitute for reading the notice.

| Role | Tentative posts | Age as on 31 Aug 2026 | Experience focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zonal Head (Retail) | 1 | 35–50 years | 15 years sales experience; five years leading a large team |
| Regional Head (RH) | 5 | 35–50 years | 12+ years relationship management; five years leading a team |
| Relationship Manager–Team Lead | 24 | 28–42 years | Eight years post-qualification relationship-management experience |
| Investment Specialist (IS) | 9 | 28–42 years | Six years post-qualification investment advisory, counselling, officer or product-team experience |
| Investment Officer (IO) | 4 | 28–40 years | Four years post-qualification investment advisory, counselling, officer or product-team experience |
| VP Wealth | 91 | 26–42 years | Six years sales and marketing, including relevant banking, wealth or AMC exposure |
| AVP Wealth | 73 | 23–35 years | Three years sales and marketing; notice also specifies a route for SBI Wealth CREs with four years |
The arithmetic behind the headline is 1 + 5 + 24 + 9 + 4 + 91 + 73 = 207. SBI describes the figure as tentative, so the table should be read as the advertised vacancy position rather than a promise of appointment. The notice also says that vacancies can include backlog positions and that reservation and age relaxation follow the applicable government instructions. Check the category-specific wording in the PDF before relying on any general age calculation.
Qualification and experience: compare the right lane
Profile comparison
Place your details beside the official requirements
AvsarIQ shows your saved profile next to stated requirements. It does not make a final eligibility decision.
Create or open your profile| Role lane | Qualification pattern | Evidence to prepare | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Leadership and relationship | Graduate degree for Zonal Head, Regional Head and RM–Team Lead; preferred management or professional credentials may strengthen the profile | Employer experience certificates, role title, dates, team size and relationship-management responsibilities | Teaching or training experience is not counted as relevant experience |
| Investment roles | Professional postgraduate qualification or diploma in finance, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital markets, banking, insurance or actuarial areas, or CA/CFA where specified | Qualification certificate, marks or membership evidence, role-specific investment work and relevant NISM or market credentials | Experience must be post-qualification and the notice does not count experience below six months |
| VP and AVP Wealth | Graduate degree with relevant sales and marketing background; MBA or wealth credentials are preferred where stated | Sales and marketing proof, banking or wealth-management employer letters, client-facing responsibilities and salary or Form-16 evidence | The AVP wording gives a separate SBI Wealth CRE experience route; read that clause exactly |
The notice asks for evidence that connects the job title, employer, dates and actual work to the role's essential experience. A generic résumé line may not establish the required post-qualification period. Where the notice asks for investment-advisory, portfolio, wealth, relationship or sales experience, prepare employer certificates and supporting records that use the employer's official details. If a candidate has mixed roles, map each period separately rather than adding unrelated work. Age relaxation, category certificates, PwBD documentation and a government or public-sector NOC are also conditional items, not universal requirements.
Circle preference and posting choices
For Relationship Manager–Team Lead, Investment Specialist, Investment Officer, VP Wealth and AVP Wealth, the notice requires a candidate to choose three different circles in the application. The published circle table covers 17 circles and shows role-wise distribution. Preference is not a guarantee of posting: the notice says that if a chosen circle has no vacancy, the applicant may be considered elsewhere, and postings or transfers can be anywhere in SBI or its associate banks. The application does not permit a later change of preference, so candidates should read the circle table before locking the form.
- Open the circle-wise vacancy table in the official PDF and compare the five roles covered by the three-choice rule.
- Choose three different circles that fit the intended role and practical mobility constraints; do not repeat a circle.
- Review the completed application before payment because the notice says the preference cannot be changed after submission.
- Keep in mind that a selected circle is a preference only. SBI can consider another location when the chosen circle has no relevant vacancy, and later posting or transfer can be across SBI or associate-bank locations.
Fee, documents and how to apply
- Fee: ₹750 for UR, EWS and OBC applicants; SC, ST and PwBD applicants are exempt. The fee is non-refundable and online payment produces an e-receipt.
- Recent passport photograph in JPG or JPEG format; the notice gives a 20–50 KB range and a preferred 200 × 230 pixel size.
- Signature image, a brief résumé in PDF, identity proof, PAN and the relevant caste or PwBD certificate where applicable.
- Education certificates and marks records, experience certificates, offer or appointment records, Form 16 or latest salary evidence as asked for the role.
- No-objection certificate for candidates in service where applicable, plus the biodata and CTC information requested by the portal.
- Keep the active email address and phone number used in the application available throughout the recruitment process, and retain the submitted form and payment receipt.
The online route is the official SBI recruitment portal linked from Current Openings. Complete registration, upload readable documents within the portal's stated limits, select the relevant role and circle preferences, pay where applicable, and save the final e-receipt and application form. The notice says the bank may shortlist using the information and documents supplied in the application. Original documents are checked at interview, so the uploaded record and the originals should tell the same story. Do not wait for the final evening of 25 September if a certificate or NOC still needs to be arranged.
Selection method and contract terms
- Shortlisting comes before the interview stage; SBI may use experience, qualifications and the application evidence to decide whom to call.
- The interview can be personal, telephonic or video-based according to the notice and is scored out of 100 marks.
- Merit is prepared in descending interview-score order. The notice uses age as the tie-breaker when scores are equal.
- The selected candidate negotiates CTC within the role's advertised upper range; the notice lists upper ranges from ₹27.1 lakh for Investment Officer to ₹97 lakh for Zonal Head.
- The contract is for five years and may be renewed for another four years at the bank's discretion. A two-month notice or compensation-in-lieu clause applies to exit terms.
- A person who did not join or who resigned from an earlier SBI wealth contract can be debarred from the wealth-management hiring exercise for two years, subject to the notice wording.

Before submitting, confirm five things on the official pages: the registration window is still open; the role's age and post-qualification experience are met as of 31 August 2026; the three-circle choice is deliberate where required; the résumé, certificates, salary or Form-16 evidence and NOC are ready; and the payment receipt and submitted form are saved. If SBI publishes a corrigendum or revised notice, follow that official update and re-check the role, fee, dates and portal before acting.
