A source-verified guide to the Assam VFA and allied-post category breakup, HSSLC Science and Biology rule, documents, OMR test, training and 23 September deadline.

This is a document-first recruitment notice, not a short vacancy headline. The current official career page, the detailed eight-page PDF and the live application portal all point to the same 200-post advertisement. The most useful preparation order is to confirm the Science and Biology qualification, Assam residency proof and Employment Exchange registration first, then prepare the upload files and study plan. The department also requires a Small Family Norms declaration and makes the one-year training, examination chances and bond part of the route to appointment. Read the detailed notice before entering the online form, because several of its instructions affect whether a submitted application can be corrected later.

The live AvsarIQ record was checked on 16 September 2026 and currently marks this Assam opportunity as open, published and verified through multiple official sources. The online form is already in its application period. The notice gives the closing time as 23:59 on 23 September, not merely a calendar date, so applicants should treat the stated time as the operational cutoff and submit well before it. The department says the written-test date and venue will be notified later, and eligible applicants will need to download an admit card when the department publishes it. Keep the submitted form, registration or enrollment number and printout for later reference.

The vacancy table separates the open category, OBC/MOBC, Tea Tribes, SC, ST(P) and ST(H) columns and marks reserved-for-women entries as RFW. It also identifies eight posts reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities across the listed disability categories and four for Ex-Servicemen. The Ex-Servicemen note asks applicants claiming that reservation to upload the identity card issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office of Assam and the discharge book. Use the official table as the controlling source for the category claim; do not reconstruct a different total by adding a secondary vacancy chart.

Relaxations5 years SC/ST, 3 years OBC/MOBC, 10 years PwBD and 2 years Ex-Servicemen, subject to the noticeValid category or service documents where applicable
Employment ExchangeA valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate is requiredUpdated registration card or certificate

The age calculation uses the HSLC pass certificate, HSLC admit card or another certificate issued by a recognised Board or Council where the date of birth is clearly reflected; the notice says other documents are not accepted for that purpose. For reservation claims, the caste certificate must be issued by the Government of Assam through the competent authority and identify the recognised caste, the Act or order and the ordinary village or town of residence. A PwBD claimant needs benchmark disability of 40% or more with the necessary certificate. These are document comparisons, not a conclusion about any individual applicant's status.

Written test pattern and selection route

Chemistry20HSSLC Science level, multiple-choice questions
Physics20HSSLC Science level, multiple-choice questions
General Awareness20HSSLC Science-level test framework
Total100100 questions on an OMR sheet in 120 minutes

The department describes the test as an OMR-based written test of 100 marks, 100 questions and 120 minutes. Biology carries the largest subject share at 40 marks, while Chemistry, Physics and General Awareness carry 20 marks each. The attached Schedule II repeats the HSSLC Science-level multiple-choice framework. The date and venue are not fixed in the advertisement; the department says they will be notified in due course. That means an applicant should prepare from the printed pattern while monitoring the official department website for the admit card and schedule rather than relying on an unverified coaching-calendar date.

Mandatory one-year training and the bond

The training condition is one of the notice's most important practical differences from a simple direct appointment. A selected candidate may be allowed re-examination in subjects after a failure, but the notice says the candidate gets three chances to qualify; if the examination is not passed within those chances, appointment eligibility ends. Schedule III also describes a service obligation of not less than three years within Assam in the VFA or allied cadre or an equivalent post, and a refund obligation tied to money or expenses incurred for training if the bond conditions are triggered. Applicants should read the exact prescribed form and future appointment documents before committing to the route.

Application steps and document uploads

  1. Open the official Assam Animal Husbandry and Veterinary application route and read the notice instructions before registering. The live portal provides Register and Login actions for the advertisement.
  2. Create or retrieve the application record and enter the personal, address, category, education, residency and Employment Exchange details exactly as supported by the certificates.
  3. Upload the age proof, Class X and Class XII marksheets and certificates, Assam Permanent Resident Certificate, applicable caste or PwBD certificate, Form A for Small Family Norms, photograph, signature and updated Employment Exchange Registration Card.
  4. Check the scan requirements before uploading: PDF documents should be legible, no larger than 4 MB and preferably scanned at 200 dpi in greyscale; the photograph and signature have separate JPEG size and dimension rules.
  5. Review every field and attachment before final submission. The notice says no manual form will be accepted and that there is no scope for editing, correction or resubmission after submission.
  6. Download the registration or application slip with the Registration No. or Enrollment ID and retain a printed copy, the uploaded files and the final submission details.

Employment ExchangeUpdated Employment Exchange Registration Card
Other claimsDocumentary support for any other claim made in the form

The upload rules are unusually specific, so a form that is otherwise complete can still fail if a scan is unreadable or the image dimensions are wrong. The photograph must be a good-quality colour image on a white background, while the signature must be made in black or dark-blue ink on white paper. The notice also says incomplete, defective or invalid applications may be summarily rejected and that uploaded documents will be verified later. Do not upload a substitute residence document when the form calls for an Assam PRC for educational purposes, and do not leave an Employment Exchange field for later.

No fee, no manual form and no correction window

The advertisement says there is no application fee for any category. That does not mean the form can be sent by post: the notice expressly requires an online application through the official website and says no manual application form will be accepted. It also states that once the application is submitted there is no scope for editing, correction or resubmission. Treat the final review screen as the last opportunity to compare the name, date of birth, category, PRC, education entries, Employment Exchange number and uploaded files.

What to monitor after submission

  • Save the final application slip, Registration No. or Enrollment ID and a printout of the submitted form.
  • Monitor the official Assam Animal Husbandry and Veterinary website for the written-test date, venue and admit-card notice.
  • Keep the original identity, age, education, PRC, category, PwBD, Employment Exchange and other claim documents ready for later verification.
  • Prepare Biology, Chemistry, Physics and General Awareness at the HSSLC Science level using the 100-question, 120-minute pattern.
  • Read the training and Schedule III bond conditions carefully before accepting any later selection or training communication.
  • Do not pay a fee to a third party or rely on a social-media deadline if it conflicts with the official notice or portal.

No written-test date or venue has been announced in the notice reviewed. If the department later publishes a corrigendum or schedule, use that later official document for the changed fact and retain this article only as a guide to the original application and selection framework.
