OSSSC Radiographer-2026 is a new Odisha health recruitment notice with 240 regular District Cadre Group-C posts. The current OSSSC recruitment page lists Advertisement No. IIE-60/2026-2630/OSSSC dated 28 August 2026 and a separate short advertisement for the same post. The live AvsarIQ record shows registration or re-registration and online application submission scheduled from 31 August 2026; registration closes on 23 September, while final application submission and the stated fee deadline close on 30 September. The written-test date has not yet been announced. This guide explains the notice’s qualification, registration, age, council-registration, Odia-language, reservation, fee, document and selection rules. It is a document-matching guide, not a personal eligibility decision. Applicants should read the complete advertisement from the official page and compare every claim with their own certificates before using the portal.

What the OSSSC Radiographer notice covers

The advertisement invites online applications for 240 District Cadre Group-C Radiographer posts under the Health & Family Welfare Department of the Government of Odisha. The live post record identifies the employment type as regular and gives the pay scale as ₹25,500–₹81,100, Pay Matrix Level 7, Cell 1. The notice covers establishments in all 30 Odisha districts. District cadre matters for preference and later service location. The application asks candidates to indicate district choices in order of preference, but that choice does not create a right to appointment in the preferred district. The notice’s post-and-cadre wording says that a selected candidate will be posted and transferred within the district. Treat the district list as a preference exercise governed by the notification, not as a guaranteed posting promise.

The practical date sequence has two tracks. Registration or re-registration is scheduled from 31 August through 23 September 2026. The online application submission stage is scheduled from 31 August through 30 September 2026, and the live record carries 30 September as the fee-payment deadline. Because the two stages do not close on the same day, a candidate should not assume that registration alone completes the recruitment process. The detailed written-test date, time and venue are not in the current record. The notice says they will be intimated later through a notice and or admission letter. Avoid treating a calendar estimate, social-media post or search snippet as the official examination schedule.

Eligibility: +2 Science plus DMRT or BMRT

The core academic route has two parts. The notice requires a candidate to have passed the +2 Science examination under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, or an equivalent qualification. It also requires a Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a Government Medical College and Hospital of Odisha, or from another private institution recognised by the Government of Odisha or the All India Council of Technical Education. The wording is narrower than a general science or healthcare qualification. A certificate with a similar-sounding title should be checked against the recognition and course wording in the advertisement. The current record does not make a personal determination for any applicant; use the official notice, your institution’s recognition details and the documents requested at verification as the controlling comparison.

Radiographers Council registration and Odia-language proof

A candidate must have registered their name with the Radiographers Council in the state and must hold a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate as of the date of online application submission. The certificate is listed among the documents to upload. This is a live-status requirement: an old training certificate by itself does not replace the registration or renewal evidence described in the notice. The advertisement also requires the ability to speak, read and write Odia. It gives several ways to meet the language condition: passing Middle School with Odia as a language subject; passing Matriculation or an equivalent examination with Odia as the medium for non-language subjects; passing Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above from a recognised school or institution; or passing an Odia test at M.E. School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department. Keep the relevant language proof ready rather than assuming that residence in Odisha substitutes for one of these routes.

Age limit, relaxations and contractual-service provision

The base age band is 21 to 42 years as on the date of the advertisement, which is 28 August 2026 in the current notice entry. The upper age limit is relaxable by five years for SC, ST, SEBC and women candidates, and by ten years for Persons with Disabilities. Ex-Servicemen receive the relaxation connected to the total period of defence service, subject to the conditions in the notice. A person still in defence service with more than six months to retire or be discharged on the last application date is not eligible to apply under the stated rule. The record also carries a specific provision for contractual Radiographers working under an OSH&FW Society or scheme. If otherwise eligible, such candidates may use an upper-age limit of 45 years as on the advertisement date, but they must upload self-attested appointment letters and keep the originals and supporting documents for later verification. These are notice-based relaxations; do not treat them as an automatic personal eligibility result without matching the category and evidence rules.

Vacancies, fee and documents to prepare

The 240-post total includes the category distribution recorded in the official advertisement: UR 45, UR women 24, ST 72, ST women 35, SC 25, SC women 11, SEBC 23 and SEBC women 5. The same record identifies special-category totals of two Ex-Servicemen, six HI and four OI, included within the overall total. Read the category and district annexures together; a headline vacancy number does not tell an individual applicant which row will apply. The notice states a ₹500 examination fee for applicants other than SC, ST and PwD categories. It also states that the fee paid will be refunded to applicants who actually appear for the examination. The payment instruction and category treatment on the live portal should be checked at submission because the official application flow controls the transaction.

Selection and written-test structure

The current record describes one written test for 100 marks, in MCQ format and in OMR or CBRE mode. The paper covers subjects connected with the DMRT syllabus, practical skills, Arithmetic at High School Certificate standard and English at High School Certificate standard. The notice provides for negative marking: one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question is deducted for each wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks or normalized score are recorded as 30% for ST, SC, PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates, and 35% for candidates outside those categories. Candidates meeting the applicable threshold are screened for Document Verification. The screening list is not to be less than 1.25 times the advertised vacancies, category and special-category wise, subject to merit and availability. The exact exam date and venue remain to be notified, so use this structure for preparation without inventing a schedule.

  1. Open the official OSSSC recruitment page and locate both the detailed advertisement and the short advertisement dated 28 August 2026.
  2. Complete registration or re-registration by the separate 23 September endpoint, then complete the actual Radiographer application by the 30 September submission endpoint.
  3. Match the +2 Science, DMRT or BMRT, council-registration and Odia-language entries with the documents you will upload.
  4. Check the district preference form carefully. Preference order does not guarantee appointment in a selected district.
  5. Choose the correct category and upload valid reservation, disability, defence or contractual appointment evidence where a claim is made.
  6. Review the fee screen, complete the applicable payment, and save the final acknowledgement and payment record.
  7. Follow later OSSSC notices for the written-test date, admission letter, document-verification list and any corrigendum.

Use the OSSSC official recruitment page to locate the Radiographer-2026 advertisement and the official online route. The same current page is also reachable through the OSSSC advertisements entry, which currently redirects to the commission’s recruitment portal and lists both the detailed and short Radiographer notices. Because the advertisement is exposed through the portal’s official postback flow rather than a stable public PDF URL in the current record, do not replace the official page with an unverified document mirror. The live AvsarIQ Radiographer opportunity record supplies the current structured dates, vacancy and parsed post details used in this guide. AvsarIQ is an independent information service: it links official records and displays the latest verified opportunity data, but it does not accept applications, decide individual eligibility or guarantee selection. The OSSSC advertisement, later corrigenda and official portal control if a subsequent update changes any date or condition.
