ISRO URSC Apprenticeship 2026: 410 Posts After 28 August Closure

ISRO's U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Bengaluru, advertised URSC:03:2026 for 410 one-year apprenticeship positions. The intake covers 220 Graduate Apprentices, 120 Technician Apprentices and 70 Commercial Practice Apprentices. The official notice uses a NATS registration followed by a UMANG application route, but that route should now be read as the historical submission path unless ISRO publishes a fresh opening or corrigendum. The material change is the transition from an active-application framing to a closed-window framing. The official URSC page lists the advertisement date as 29 July 2026, the last date for online submission as 28 August 2026, and the UMANG receipt link. It also retains the word Open in its status field. That label is not enough to override the dated window: the page's own remark says the online recruitment portal will be open from 29.07.2026 to 28.08.2026, and page 7 of the official PDF gives the closing time as 23:59 hours on 28.08.2026. The three totals are separate routes, not interchangeable vacancies. The official advertisement lists the monthly stipend as ₹12,300 for the Graduate route and ₹10,900 for both Technician and Commercial Practice routes. It is useful to keep these numbers alongside the engagement type: this is a 12-month apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, not a regular ISRO appointment, and the notice does not promise employment after training.

The official PDF says that candidates who passed out during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are the intended passing-year group, and that only candidates who passed the qualifying examination as regular candidates should apply. It separately says that candidates who passed the qualifying examination before 2021 are not eligible. The notice does not turn this article into a personal eligibility decision, so anyone whose passing year or academic route is unclear should rely on the PDF and any official clarification rather than a summary. It asks for all semester or year marks records in one file up to 1 MB and the degree, diploma, provisional or passing certificate in one file up to 1 MB. Photograph and signature files are requested in JPG, JPEG or PNG format with a maximum size of 50 KB each. Category, EWS and PwBD documents may have to be produced in the prescribed format at verification. Keep the originals together with the uploaded copies, because the PDF says that relevant proof of date of birth, marks, testimonials and educational qualifications must be produced in original during document verification.

The published notice does not describe a written examination for this apprenticeship intake. It says that candidates are shortlisted on the percentage furnished for the respective discipline, called for document verification, and placed on a panel based on academic scores in the degree, diploma or Diploma in Commercial Practice. Induction against available positions follows the panel position, and selected candidates are informed by email. Shortlisted candidates are not promised travelling allowance for document verification, and the PDF requires original documents at that stage.

The next useful signal is not a social-media claim that the form is open; it is a dated instruction on the official URSC or ISRO website. The notice says that URSC may cancel or alter vacancies or the process and that corrigenda will be published on the ISRO/URSC website. Submitted applicants should monitor the official page for shortlisting, document-verification instructions and email communication, while also preserving every original record. If the page later shows a new deadline or an explicit reopening, that would be a new material update to the opportunity. Until then, the latest verified position is closed after 28 August.
