CTET September 2026 Correction Window: edit details before 10 September

The CTET September 2026 correction window is open from 7 September through 10 September 2026. CBSE's public notice dated 7 September says candidates can use the online facility for applicable corrections in their particulars, and that no correction will be accepted after 10 September under any circumstances. This is a correction phase, not a fresh application window: the original application period ended on 10 June, while the additional opportunity for applications ran from 25 August to 1 September. The important practical question is not simply whether a correction link is visible. It is which fields the CTET bulletin permits, whether the change is available for the candidate's record, and whether the confirmation page matches the intended correction before the deadline. The bulletin says the facility is provided only once, excludes the examination city, and does not accept a request by fax, email or another offline route. The latest notice records three stages. First, the 22nd CTET edition originally accepted online applications from 11 May to 10 June 2026. Second, a 25 August public notice gave eligible candidates who had not used that first opportunity an additional application period through 1 September. Third, CBSE has now opened online correction from 7 to 10 September. The notice expressly says that candidates who successfully submitted an application during the earlier 11 May–10 June window may also make applicable corrections. Because the notice uses the phrase as applicable, a candidate should use the official login route to see which fields are enabled for that application. The existence of a correction window does not mean every field can be changed, and it does not reopen registration, fee payment or a new application. The 10 September cutoff is the operational deadline stated by CBSE.

The September 2026 information bulletin says corrections may be made in the following particulars, subject to the portal making the field available for the application: name; father's name; mother's name; date of birth; category; differently abled category; the paper opted for; the subject for Paper II; Language I and/or Language II; correspondence address; and the name of the institution, college or university from which the candidate obtained a B.Ed. degree, Diploma in Elementary Education or related qualification recorded in the form. The bulletin's wording should control the final field-by-field decision.

The September 2026 bulletin scheduled Paper II for the morning of 6 September and Paper I for the evening of 6 September, with each paper lasting two and a half hours. It describes both papers as 150-question, 150-mark multiple-choice tests with no negative marking. The correction notice does not announce a new examination date or a new application fee. For context, the bulletin lists the original examination fee as ₹1,000 for General/OBC (NCL) candidates taking one paper and ₹1,200 for both papers, and ₹500 or ₹600 respectively for SC, ST and Differently Abled candidates, with GST as applicable. It also says a fee once remitted is not refunded or adjusted for a future test. Do not interpret those original application figures as a separate correction charge unless the official portal itself displays a field-specific instruction.

The bulletin says candidates must satisfy the applicable NCTE and recruitment-rule qualifications and remain personally responsible for the information submitted. It also says that being allowed to appear in CTET does not prove that eligibility has been finally verified and does not create a right to appointment. Use the correction period to make the application record accurate; use the relevant recruitment authority's rules for any later teacher appointment decision.
